Imagination drives us
Imagination drives us
DESIGNED AND ENGINEERED TO OUR OWN RULES
When you follow your imagination, you create your own rules. You’re free to nurture a strong focus on human-centric design. To develop a firm grounding in the handcrafted forms of Mazda’s Kodo-Soul of Motion design language. To make a commitment to a future of cleaner more sustainable earth for future generations. To create without boundaries, that’s how imagination drives us.
KODO DESIGN – OUR LANGUAGE IN STYLE
Our Kodo Design philosophy compels us to create cars that embody the dynamic beauty of life. Cars that transcend the limitations of a simple A to B vehicle and become a partner you can rely on, that inspires you. The design of every Mazda expresses the beauty of motion seen in all living creatures, giving each vehicle a soul of its own.
JINBA ITTAI – SPIRIT OF DRIVING
The sense of oneness between a rider and his beloved horse is the ultimate bond. We call this Jinba-Ittai, a bond that Mazda has worked tirelessly to recreate between car and driver. A feeling that can only be engineered through the passion and expertise that has been passed down through generations of Mazda engineers, and experienced by drivers the world over.
HUMAN MODERN DESIGN
We have entered a new era of car design. One that places you, your lifestyle and your values at the forefront. That’s shaped in sophisticated simplicity. That embodies a humanistic feel, putting you at ease, and making each and every Mazda a pleasure to experience all day long.
TECHNOLOGY THAT ADDS SOUL
Imagination enables us to incorporate intuitive, and inventive features designed for life within every vehicle. Like Mazda Connect, which allows you to experience the next generation of in-vehicle connectivity.
CONNECT
Mazda Connect’s full-colour screen lets you make calls, receive messages, even play your favourite music without ever taking your hands off the wheel.
ENTERTAINMENT
With Apple CarPlay® and Android® Auto, a whole new world of digital entertainment is at your fingertips.
NAVIGATE
Whether you’re on a weekend away or travelling for business, Mazda Connect’s built-in satellite navigation system utilises cutting edge traffic data to help get you there with ease.
SKYACTIV ENGINEERING – EVOLUTION MEETS INNOVATION
Skyactiv Technology is a comprehensive engineering program that has shaped the new generation of Mazda vehicles. Skyactiv represents significant gains in fuel efficiency and emissions reduction, while keeping the Zoom-Zoom performance that’s in our DNA. A number of years later, we presented to the world a suite of technologies that have come to revolutionise the driving experience forever.
E-Skyactiv
The fully electric Mazda E-Skyactiv engine delivers a smooth, exciting, completely emission free drive that begins the dawn of a new era of Mazda.
e- Skyactiv G
The Mild Hybrid component is our innovative evolution of hybrid car technology, capturing and storing energy in a lithium ion battery. When you decelerate, the integrated starter motor generator produces electricity which is stored in a battery and deployed as needed. Mazda’s E-Skyactiv G engine delivers a perfect blend of economy and performance.
i-ACTIVSENSE – SAFETY THAT’S ALWAYS FRONT OF MIND
For Mazda, safety is always forefront. i-Activsense is a suite of revolutionary technologies that make our cars smart and safe. It utilises detection devices in milliwave radars and cameras to help recognise hazards and avoid collisions.
BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM)
By scanning external mirrors’ blind spots up to 50m behind your vehicle, radars detect unseen vehicles to alert you of any potential hazardous lane changes.
G VECTORING CONTROL (GVC)
GVC improves cornering response by reducing engine torque and shifting the load to the front wheels, creating a more pleasant feel for driver and passengers.
FRONT CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (FCTA)
When pulling out of T-intersections and driveways, FCTA checks for approaching vehicles in your blind spots either side of the front of your Mazda. When an oncoming vehicle is detected it sounds a warning.
CRUISING & TRAFFIC SUPPORT (CTS)
When stuck in slow moving traffic, CTS can assist with driver fatigue by automatically operating the accelerator and brake pedals to maintain a proper trailing distance between you and the vehicle ahead. In addition, the system assists with steering to keep the car in its proper lane, supporting a safer, more comfortable driving experience.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (LDW) WITH LANE-KEEP ASSIST SYSTEM (LAS)
LDW monitors road markings and alerts you if you’re straying from your lane. If no action is taken, it will apply corrective steering to help guide you back.
SMART BRAKE SUPPORT (SBS)
Smart Brake Support (SBS) with Pedestrian Recognition monitors the vehicle in front to assess the likelihood of a collision when travelling between 4-80km/h. If there is a high risk, the system will warn you and brake automatically if needed.
SAFETY REINFORCEMENT
The rigid chassis and frame is constructed from high-tensile steel, ensuring strong collision protection.
OUR FUTURE VISION
Mazda’s multi-solution approach to reducing emissions began with the 2007 commitment to Sustainable Zoom-Zoom and the subsequent launch of its first phase, a range of highly efficient Skyactiv-G petrol and Skyactiv-D diesel engines.
The initiative saw set targets for 2020, including a 50% reduction of corporate average “well-to-wheel” carbon dioxide emissions based on 2010 levels, and achieve 90% reduction by 2050.
The introduction of Skyactiv-X M Hybrid is the next phase towards a more sustainable, enjoyable future for all.
